Planning

Develop a high quality series of idents for a TV channel or online streaming service. Must use a range of 3D modelling and animation techniques to create different visual elements

I chose to create idents for the channel National Geographic. I created 4 indents linking to different weathers (rain, snow, sun and wind)

I had some knowledge from year 1 when using cinema 4d, however creating animations for 3D elements was something new that I was excited to learn.  Camera angles, lighting and settings was something I developed my understanding of them through this module. I learn about different shot types and depths. I mainly looked at animating 3D elements in this module whilst sticking to my theme. The 3D elements linked quite well.

Things I used to create my work:

Keyframes and how to create them

The F Curve and Dope Sheet Timelines

Using curves to produce smoother animation

Setting up complex objects so that they can be animated

Working with cameras and animation

using different Emitters

Cloning

 Particles and mographs
